How does this course work?
Please read ALL this document before you commence your course. Please do not email in with your questions, because they will NOT be replied to as everything you need to know is covered in this section.
Basically, the way this course works is that when you enrol, your name is added to our database and email links are regularly sent out to you with the next piece of course material. This is usually every few days, unless you have reached the end of the course or there is no new material available to send at the current time.
Please be aware that the costs associated with the delivery of this training site are met only by on page advertising. Although a small amount of income is generated, there is not sufficient to maintain a support team, so all emails are handled personally by me, Pauline.
This means that every email I must deal with personally reduces the amount of time I can devote to writing new course material, which I do for several courses and sites. We have literally millions of readers now, so just a tiny percentage of you writing to me means I can’t develop new material.
So here are some general guidelines, followed by some specific FAQs that do reflect our postbag. Please read them, then you will understand how it all works.
The lesson emails are sent out by an automatic emailer, there is not a tutor here following your progress. You can take these lessons at your leisure by following the link we send you. It is not time sensitive.
Every day we have hundreds of people registering on our sites, so we know the process works. However, if you are experiencing a problem with registration, this may be because you are using a configuration that is not compatible, so does not work, such as a make of mobile phone or version of browser. Please try again using another machine or browser.
If the links do not work, copy the URL’s and paste them into the address bar of your browser.
You can search for topics by opening any lesson, and a search bar will appear near the top, beneath the coloured navigation bar, at the right-hand side. Put your search term in the bar and click on the most appropriate result.
You can navigate to lessons you do not have the link for. Select the lessons tab on the navigation bar and choose the topic and lesson you want to study from the dropdown menu. If you have a lesson open, you can navigate to the previous, or next lesson, using the arrows in the white space just under the coloured navigation bar.
If you no longer want to receive our emails, please unsubscribe by clicking on the link at the bottom of any of the regular emails we send you.
We do not require you to submit work, nor to explain why you have not completed a module, or are behind our schedule with your studies, nor explain why you have performed poorly in a quiz. Where an assignment is suggested, or a question asked, this is to enable you to work through the material, we do not need to see your responses.
Please do not write to me saying you do not understand the lesson and asking me to contact you to go through it with you. Ask a friend or colleague to do that, or just reread it.
Please do not write to me asking what is the next topic, or to tell me you have decided to start the course, or ask me to send a review.
Course durations are around 18 months to 2 years, we are adding new material all the time. You will receive emails every few days via an automatic system.
All courses are free, no materials are included, and courses are online only. This is not a qualifying course for a tutor led course. We do not offer tutor led courses.
No scholarships are offered or required.
No sponsorships are offered, and we are unable to offer seed finance for new businesses.
There are no entry requirements, and this is not a University, so we can’t confer degrees, and you don’t graduate.
We do not have any jobs or positions available, either at our company or with other companies. This is not a service that we offer. We can only help with general information, advice and guidance.
We cannot offer personalised advice on your career, or personal circumstances, or complete projects or assignments for you, or tell you about the course content of a module at your local university.
If you need to research a topic, please use the internet.
We are based in the UK, and are a private company. We have no influence with the governments of any country and so cannot help with visas.
To study in a language other than English use the translation tool built into the sites. Open any lesson, and an option to select the language displayed will appear near the top right hand side of the page, below the Google search box and above the Facebook logo. It will translate the content into almost any language for you.

We do not offer any other courses, and specifically cannot help with English language studies.

Find answers to your questions here. We answer all the most commonly asked questions. If you don’t find the answer to your question here, and only then, please email your question to firstname.lastname@example.org. If the question is covered here, you will not receive a personal response.
1. When do I start my course?
As soon as you register, you have started on the course, we will then begin to send regular e-mails giving you a link to the next lesson in the course.
If you have not registered yet, you can do so here; –

2. How long does the course take?
We will send you an email every couple of days, and at that rate it will take about eighteen months to 2 years for you to receive all the emails. We do add new content all the time which may extend the course. You can work through the lessons at your own rate, and revisit ones that you found useful on the site by selecting the lessons tab on the navigation bar and choose the lesson you want to study.
3. Do I have to pay to access the course?
There is currently no charge for use of the website. The costs associated with the delivery of this training site are met by on page advertising only.
4. How do I get my certificates?
There is a quiz covering each topic or group of topics. Once you have completed the material, the relevant quiz is emailed to you, or you can navigate to the quiz when you feel ready to take it, or if you want to retake it.
The email will remind you which topics are covered in the quiz, and tell you how many questions there are, how to navigate the quiz, and the pass mark. Once you are satisfied with your answers, complete your name, address and email address and select “Click to mark the quiz “to submit your answers. You will shortly receive an email advising you of your score, whether you have passed the quiz, and how your answers have been scored. It will also include your Management Skills course quiz completion Certificate for the appropriate quiz, which you can save or print at that time only.
Please note that the software that runs the quizzes and provides the certificates is managed by a third party, so is not directly within our control.
5. What if I can’t access my lesson?
You can usually access your lesson by clicking the link provided. If this doesn’t work, copy and paste the link into your web browser, or type it in.
7. How do I find a lesson?
Select the lessons tab on the navigation bar and choose the topic and lesson you want to study from the dropdown menu.
8. How do I search for a specific topic?
Open any lesson, and a search bar will appear near the top, beneath the blue navigation bar, at the right-hand side.
9. Why has nobody replied to my question?

10. I have asked for downloads to be emailed to me, why have they not been?

11. Can I invite a friend or colleague to visit the website and join the course?

12. My name has been spelt incorrectly on my account. Is this important?
That will the name as you typed it when you enrolled. This will NOT mean that your certificates will be issued in the incorrect name. If you want to alter your name on the account, please unsubscribe and then re-register. Unsubscribe by clicking on the link at the bottom of any of the regular emails we send you. This will take you back to the beginning of the course. We can’t change your name for you, this is an automatic system.
13. I want to start the course again, how can I do that?
Please unsubscribe by clicking on the link at the bottom of any of the regular emails we send you, and then re-register. You will then receive emails from the start of the course on the new account.
14. I want to change my email address; how do I do that?
We can’t do it for you, this is an automatic system. Please unsubscribe by clicking on the link at the bottom of any of the regular emails we send you, and then re-register. You will then receive emails from the start of the course on the new account.
15. Why does no one reply to my comments on the site?
We have more than 250,000 visitors to the site each week, and receive hundreds of comments and emails each day. We are a small team and cannot respond to individual comments. Comments are moderated, but only rarely can we respond to specific comments.

16. I have unsubscribed in error; how can I get back on the course?
This is an automatic system. If you have unsubscribed in error, please go to www.managementskillscourses.com and enrol again. This will take you back to the beginning of the course.
17. I no longer want to receive your emails

18. Can I retake the quiz to get a better score?
Go to www.managementskillscourses.com Select the “lessons” dropdown from the right-hand side of the blue navigation bar and choose your topic. Scroll down until you find the quiz, then open the lesson

20. Can I get a completion certificate
We do not offer a completion certificate as we can’t track your progress on the course. You need to collect the certificates as you take the quizzes
